TRAINS: Former BNSF track inspector who secretly recorded boss shares why he took on the railroad

Former BNSF track inspector who said he was fired for reporting too many track defects secretly recorded his boss for "my own protection."

The track inspector was doing exactly what he should be doing: reporting defects he found with the track! But his boss didn't want to hear it, because the defects in the track made him look bad! You can't make this stuff up. So the track inspector recorded the calls, and sued the BNSF. The jury awarded him NINE MILLION DOLLARS, but it got knocked down to TWO MILLION DOLLARS.

Of course the BNSF is appealing the decision.

Be advised that the BNSF Railroad is 100% owned by a man in Ohmaha, Nebraska by the name of Warren Buffet.
